Sister ClawSean laid on his bed in the deep recesses of the dreamworld. As was common, the only illuminations in the room were the monitors and blacklights. . . and the faint whisper of moonlight filtering through the screen of the window above the wardrobe. A moment later, this light served to outline a dark form, and an incessant scratching sound followed the form’s arrival. After a few seconds, the screen tore away from the corner of the plastic frame holding it inside the window, and a shadow crept through the hole, leaping gracefully unto the top of the wardrobe, and from there to the floor, across which it glided silently. FirstsThe door of the studio opened with the distinct sound of metal gliding tightly across metal. Sean walked into the studio, pausing and bowing, then pulling the door closed tightly behind him. The assistant instructor nodded in greeting upon eye contact as Sean walked along the front wall, the greeting returned.
